The Charlie Daniels Band is headlining The Ridgefield Playhouse 2008 Gala October 11th with special guest Christopher Robin Band. Like the State of Texas, Charlie Daniels is partly Western and partly Southern. The son of a lumberjack and a Southerner by birth, his music - rock,country, bluegrass, blues, gospel - is quintessentially Southern. With hits like "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," "The South's Gonna Do It," "Long Haired Country Boy," "Still in Saigon"and "The Legend of Wooley Swamp," it's purely American music with something for everyone!
